It is designed for snow shoes, but I was in a pinch and used it for the Whistle Stop 1/2 marathon, to keep the rocks out of my shoes. It's all I can do to run the thing, I don't want to stop for rocks. These were slick. They stayed in place, were so comfortable I forgot they were there and I was running in shorts. Goofy looking but well worth it. For those who run trails, or like the rails to trails paths, these are super. My next purchase will be dirty girl gaiter, which are lighter and will be better in the summer. Atlas gaiter's are fleece lined, thin fleece, so better for fall and winter running. |
